Fall Ceremonies
Weechi-it-te-win Family Services holds annual fall ceremonies to honor our sacred items. Weechi-it-te-win honors our drum, our pipes, our eagle staff, our sacred feathers, our sacred medicines, and our sacred women’s room. The fall ceremonies are a time to gather together to celebrate our accomplishments and give sacred offerings to the spiritual guardians of Weechi-it-te-win. It is a time of ceremony, a time of honoring, a time of feasting, and a time for all to come together and celebrate the sacred gifts given to Weechi-it-te-win on behalf of the children.
Weechi-it-te-win Family Services invites you to our ceremonies, to come and honor each other. The fall ceremonies are held during the time when the leaves are sparse on trees and before the first snow falls and are often held near Weechi-it-te-win’s main office. Our Council of Elders is vital to the teaching we receive at these sacred events and we again invite you to come and share in the gifts of the Elders.
