Honouring Our Children

Do you know how special you are?
Do you know that when you were created, the Creator held a special place for you?
He has given you an Anishinaabe name
He has given you a Clan
He has given you a family, an extended family, and a community
He has kept a place for you deep in the heart of our people
He has recognized that you are special and are needed in this world.

We at Weechi-it-te-win want you to know that we honor you; we respect you; and want you to know that we care.  We believe in the sacred trust that has been given to us as workers, and we protect this sacred responsibility with great honor.

Weechi-it-te-win Family Services will hold special events and activities for you in your communities or at the agencies to support you in your life.  But we need to hear from you and what activities are important to you?

As a new initiative, Weechi-it-te-win will be establishing the “Honoring Our Children” campaign, to continue to meet you needs.  “Honoring Our Children” is a youth focused group, to let us know what is important to you.  It is a group designed to promote wellbeing, but is designed by you.

Please keep posted to this new initiative, as your input and direction is greatly needed.  For more information contact
