Psychological Services

Referral Process

  1. Referrals for psychological services are processed through Leona McGinnis, Clinical Services Coordinator, Weechi-it-te-win Family Services. In some cases, she will mail out a pre-assessment package to be completed by the Community Worker meeting/interviewing the client. The information collected will assist with the assessment process, and will need to be mailed back to the office prior to the client and case worker meeting with the Psychological Associate.
  2. In some situations, the Community Worker may want to make a pre-referral consult with the Psychological Associate. Coaching and mentoring of therapeutic approaches can be provided through these meetings. These consults will assist to determine the services delivery for clinical support and treatment.
  3. On the day of the initial assessment it is helpful to have the Community Worker in attendance at the Weechi-it-te-win Family Services Office. Following the psychology assessment, the clinician will meet with the Community Worker.

Areas of Assessment and Services may include some of the following areas:

Family/Parenting Issues
