Program Description
The Weechi-it-te-win Training and Learning Centre operates ten (10) child welfare beds that are allotted to the First Nations Communities' services by Weechi-te-win Family Services. These beds are designed for youth between the ages twelve (12) and seventeen (17). In the event that any of the child welfare beds are not used by children who occupy one of the child welfare documentation completed prior to referral, the centre also operates six (6) treatment beds for adolescents between the ages of twelve (12) and seventeen (17) who have been diagnosed with alcohol and/or other substances combined with mental health issues and related behavioral, social and emotional difficulties.

Education
The Training and Learning Centre operates an on-site school with qualified teaching staff. Academic instruction is available to residents in the Treatment stream and to those residents in the child welfare stream for whom such on-site instruction is deemed preferable.
