Family Well-Being Coordination Program

The Family Well-Being program was established in 2017 through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Service (MCCSS) Indigenous Services Branch. Weechi-it-te-win Family Services was identified as a coordinating agency for the southern area of Treaty #3.

The Family Well-Being program is a prevention-based program that was designed by MCCSS in consultation with Indigenous groups to meet the following Objectives:

  1. Reduce/Eliminate Domestic Violence
  2. Prevention of Children from coming into contact with the child welfare system; reduce the incidence of youth entering the criminal justice system.
  3. Promote Community Wellness
